Charlotte McKay

Bookseller – Children’s Specialist

Charlotte’s background in primary teaching, music performance and drama makes her the ideal Children’s Bookseller. Her application to work here was even a mini publishing project called “The Hungry Bookworm”. Charlotte can be found in her natural habitat – The Children’s Room – shelving, re-shelving, singing along to Ella Fitzgerald, and organising this week’s tricks and treats for our FREE Story-time (every Friday at 10.30am and 3.30pm, and Saturday at 10.30am). Charlotte has a Bachelor of Music (Performance Voice) and a Postgraduate Diploma in Primary Education.

Bookseller – Schools Outreach

While on parental leave with her third child Charlotte started her own Facebook page making recommendations for books and reading and pulling together an entire community of like-minded individuals interested in feeding little minds simply the best books. A highly experienced and skilled primary teacher Charlotte’s role is to assist the busy school librarian and classroom teacher navigate the world of children’s books to help support both literacy and literary journeys for children of all ages, stages and interests. Charlotte has a Bachelor of Education (Honours).

Susannah Yeoman

Bookseller – Children’s Specialist

Armed with a Bachelor of Arts (English – but with an eclectic range of other subjects including marketing, statistics, psychology, political studies, philosophy and law) Susannah is enjoying the new horizons of a Children’s Specialist Bookseller. She has a background in training and developing excellent customer service skills and this role joins both her passions – books and people in one. Always interested in books and reading, her two primary-school aged children have help open up a new realm of literary adventures.
