Do I even need to review a book that is clearly speaking so well for itself? Yes I do because if you're even teetering on the edge of buying this I'm here to push you over. BUY. THIS. BOOK.
There seems to be a nice little influx of books about girls and women and their many marvellous achievements, but for me, this is the cream of the crop. It has a great international feel (not so American or Euro-centric as other offerings) including two NZers, its 1 page bios are to the point and easy to understand yet not patronising for older readers, the art is so varied and beautiful and my daughter reads it every night. A must own book for all homes.
